I forgot my password. Where can I get it?
Provide the email address you used to sign up at any Legacy Store, and we'll email your password to that address. CLICK HERE to do so.
How do I return something?
Our return policies are as follows:
“What am I required to do to return items?”
All returns must be received within 30 days of purchase. Doesn’t that sound fair?
If the product arrived damaged or is incorrect, we will arrange for UPS to pick up the model. To make this happen, you should contact us. Your options for contacting us are HERE. We’ll let you know how to make returns easy.
Returns should be carefully repacked with original wrappings and so no further damage to the model happens. After all, wouldn’t you want us to be able to re-sell the product, if an expert can repair any damage to perfect condition?
Please include a copy of the invoice PLUS a description of the item’s defects and / or the reason for returning the item. Indicate whether you want to exchange the item or a refund. Please be legible, ordinary folks must be able to read this.
“This is not what I ordered.”
You ordered X and we shipped Y. First, we are truly sorry. We expect more of ourselves than goofing up your purchase. Second, see “What am I required to do to return items”.
“My shipment arrived damaged.”
We try our best to ensure every item ships in excellent condition. We make a sensible inspection of products when shipped by the manufacturer. But we are reluctant to open sealed product boxes if examination will depreciate the value of the product. If you should receive merchandise that is damaged, please contact us immediately before returning the item.
Please refuse delivery of any obviously damaged outer cartons from our carrier. Do not open the carton, and notify us immediately. This preserves our right to collect insurance from the carrier and your right to an exchange.

“It’s not what I wanted.”
Our customer care begins by providing photography, descriptions and reviews that let you fully examine an item before purchasing. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 30 days of purchase in its original condition for an exchange or refund. Shipping costs are NOT refundable.

What do you charge for shipping?
For most of the US, we ship via UPS at an average of their domestic US rates.
Want to know exactly what a specific model will cost to ship in the US and related addresses? Click on Shipping Rates.
For everywhere else, we ship via the US Postal Service. For international locations, we email you a quote for shipping within two business days of your purchase. If you approve the shipping charge, we charge your credit card for exactly that amount and ship your product. If you decline the shipping charge, we void the purchase charge.
We are proud of the extra measures we have in place to securely pack a carton for shipment. We spend the extra time and money to ensure your purchase arrives safely. We don’t think you can do better than Legacy Stores packaging.
Do we ship outside the US?
We sure do!
We ship internationally using the USPS (US Postal System) services. Within 2 business days of your order, you’ll get an email from US asking us which service you prefer. Choose between Express Mail International (with tracking and faster delivery) or Priority Mail International (no tracking but delivery within 2 weeks).
If you have a spam-blocker, be sure to add “firstname.lastname@example.org” to your white list.

How long before I receive my order?
You can expect us to prepare your order for shipment within 2 business days of your placing the order. If you live within the continental US, and selected normal UPS Ground service, add 3 – 7 days for delivery. We’re in Los Angeles – a major UPS hub, so most transit is within 5 business days.
For HI, AK, Puerto Rico or PO Boxes, allow up to 7 days for transit.
For international addresses, you choose your shipping option. Depending on your choice, you’ll get your order within 1 week or 2 weeks of your selection of shipping preference.
Can I expedite shipment of my order?
For domestic customers, during checkout, you can select UPS 3 Day Select which promises delivery by third business day.
Who stands behind Legacy Stores?
Legacy Motors is the first store we founded way back in 1996. It caters to collectors of scale models especially cars, trucks and motorcycles. The store has a companion online community with free resources and forums that increase a scale model collector’s enjoyment of the hobby and engagement with other collectors. That website is called the Diecast Car Collectors Zone.
From the Diecast Zone comes professional reviews and original photography, collector ratings, latest product announcements and arrivals, auctions supervised by auctioneers and among the most useful forums on the web.
Gennera Knab, a diversified e-commerce management firm and consultancy, owns and operates Legacy Stores and the Diecast Zone. Originally based in Chicago, our operations are in the Los Angeles area.

No, we do not.
