This is the latest figure release from the GMP Parts Department and I'm happy to say this is the best offering yet. The poses are cliched but not cartoonish. The figures are well sculpted, competently painted and the poses of the individual figures just beg to interact with one another, yet are fully able to be displayed individually.
There's the James Dean rebel complete with a cigarette pack rolled in his T-shirt sleeve. The John Travolta character from "Grease" is also honored with black leather jacket and "Brylcreamed" duck-tailed hairdo. A pretty rollerskating drive-in waitress strikes a classic pose... certainly as classic as the obligatory ticket-writing police officer in period uniform. A narcissistic girlfriend consumed with refreshing her lipstick rounds out the set
At a pricepoint just under $40, these pre-painted figures are a value and an encouragement to flesh out your model collection to include chopped, channeled Mercs and flame-nosed tudor Chevies with fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror.
